Nankai University Holds 2026 International Chinese Language Day and International Students Culture and Arts Festival

On the occasion of the 17th UN Chinese Language Day, Nankai University held its 2026 International Chinese Language Day and International Students Culture and Arts Festival on Jinnan Campus on May 14, under the theme “Chinese: Let Your Colorful Dreams Shine”. Executive Vice President Chen Jun attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Jun encouraged Chinese and international students to carry forward the fine tradition of “Knowing China and Serving China”. He called on them to regard culture as a bridge to help the world better know and understand China. Representatives of international faculty members, as well as Chinese and international students, shared their moving stories about learning Chinese and studying at Nankai University.

The cultural experience session featured more than 10 interactive booths, including Hanfu, fan painting, bookmark making, Chinese tea art, traditional Chinese kites, sachet making, flower arrangement, Chinese knot tying, wind chime making, porcelain plate painting, collage poetry, Hanfu origami and calligraphy. Chinese and international faculty members and students took part enthusiastically, experiencing the richness and appeal of traditional Chinese culture.
